Privacy Policy
Last updated: 8 October 2026
This policy explains what personal information NeonCardHub collects, why, and the choices you have. It is written for visitors in Canada. It is a baseline policy and does not constitute legal advice; it will be reviewed before launch.
1. Who we are
NeonCardHub is operated by NeonCardHub. Privacy questions can be sent to [email protected].
2. Our approach: collect as little as possible
NeonCardHub has no payments and no advertising trackers. To play, you create a free account with only a username, an email address and a password. We never ask for payment details, your real name, your address or identification.
3. Information stored on your device
We use your browser’s local storage to remember your location and age confirmation, your cookie choices, your Neon Points balance and your sound and motion settings. This information stays on your device; it is not sent to our servers. Details are in our Cookie Policy.
4. Information we collect
Your free account
When you sign up we store your username, email address, a one-way hash of your password (we never store the password itself), the date you joined and your confirmation that you are 19 or older and in Canada. We use this only to let you sign in and to keep the service for adults. A sign-in cookie keeps you signed in for up to 30 days; see our Cookie Policy. We do not send marketing emails. Your Play Points and lounge progress stay on your device and are not linked to your account on our server.
Contact form messages
If you use our contact form, we receive your name, email address, country, subject and message. We use this only to reply to you and to keep a record of the conversation. Your IP address is used in hashed form for a short time to limit spam.
Server logs
Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure automatically records technical information when pages are requested, such as IP address, date and time, page requested, browser type and referring page. This is used to keep the website secure and working.
Optional analytics
If enabled by us, privacy-friendly analytics run only after you opt in through the cookie banner. They are off by default and you can withdraw consent at any time.
We do not collect payment details, government identification or precise location.
5. Purposes and consent
We collect, use and disclose personal information only with your knowledge and consent, and only for purposes a reasonable person would consider appropriate, as required by the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). Provincial laws, such as Quebec’s Law 25 and the Alberta and British Columbia Personal Information Protection Acts, may also apply.
- Running the website: operating, securing and improving the site, and responding to messages you send us.
- Optional analytics: only with your express opt-in, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Legal requirements: where we must keep or disclose information by law.
6. Sharing
We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only with service providers who help run the site, such as our website host, and only as needed for them to provide that service.
We may also disclose information where required by law.
7. International transfers
Our providers may process information outside your country. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards required by applicable law, such as contractual protections. Information processed outside Canada may be subject to the laws of that country.
8. Retention
- Account details (username, email, password hash, join date): kept until you delete your account from the Account page, which removes them from our user store immediately. Sign-in sessions expire after 30 days.
- Contact messages: [email protected]
- Information on your device: Stored on your device until you clear it using the controls on this site or your browser settings.
9. Your rights
You have the right to access and correct your personal information and to withdraw consent, subject to legal and contractual limits. Depending on your province (for example, Quebec), you may have additional rights, such as asking us to stop disseminating your information or to receive it in a portable format. You can see your account details and delete your account yourself at any time on the Account page. For any other request, contact [email protected].
You can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or your provincial privacy regulator (for example, the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec). We would appreciate the chance to address your concern first.
10. Children
NeonCardHub is for adults only (19+) and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 19. If you believe a minor has contacted us, please tell us and we will delete the information.
11. Security
We use HTTPS, security headers and server-side validation to protect the website. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect the limited information we hold.
12. Changes
We will update this page when our practices change and revise the “last updated” date above.
